Triton Students Welcomed to their New Digs on July 16, 2018; Triton School Site Staff are Excited about their New School Site.
After a very busy ten months, the Ventura County Office of Education completed the temporary site at 550 Airport Way in Camarillo in time to open the Triton Academy Summer program.
In the Summer of 2017, Pleasant Valley Unified School District provided notice to the Ventura County Office of Education ("VCOE") that it was in need of the site that it had leased to the VCOE for the Triton Academy. The notice provided the contractual 12 months notice to vacate. The new site for Triton had yet to receive funding from the State under the State's Hardship Program. VCOE had to locate a site and erect temporary facilities without disrupting its critical educational programming for these special children.
MillerCalderon was consulted in October 2017 to assist and support the VCOE in its efforts to timely complete the temporary site. We are very proud to have supported the VCOE in timely completing the project.
